onomatopeia 1

an onamotapea to me is making weird, obnoxious, or crazy sounds like mooooo or ding dong. in the song”Trolley Song” famously sung by Judy Garland which starts making ringing noises Clang ,clang, clang went the trolley
Ding, ding, ding went the bell. They probilly made this song for little kids to get their attention or to let them have fun with it, but for whatever reason they are making it to kids enjoyments around the country. So that song isint for our age but i liked the onamotapias in it. You can hear or read the link at these two websites:  Ansers.com

Aliteration 2

An aliteration is written as a sound of a word used more than once in a sentence. In the song Ode to a Superhero by Weird Al Yankovic, the alliteration can be found in the song. The alliteration for the song is poor Peter Parker was pitiful, in the song he repeats “p” it gives a funny appearents with it. Its like trying to say it fast 3 times in a row its hard but very cachy. So I think when they thought of this they were thinking of the movie spiderman so when people talked about that they would think of their song. metaphore 1

A metiphore is wear you are not useing like or as but you are still comparing two different things in one sentence. Like in the song Im a rocket man the metaphore in this one is the title strange how that works out. So the metaphore is Im a rocket man the difrences are rocket and man? They probilly used it because they wanted to let people know about their rocket man song while hearing about rockets. You can find the link to the song at eather of the websites:

YouTube – Elton John – Rocket Man

YouTube – William Shatner-Rocketman

metaphor 2

A metaphore is when you are comparing two different things not useing like or as. In a awaome song “the world is a vampire” the lyrics for the song have a few metaphores but i will use this one the wourld is a vampire. The mood in the song is very upsetting and cruil. in the song they compared two very different things like wourld and vampire without useing like or as. I t was very clever in my eyes that they would use that because the wourld and vampire does not mach and macks it a to wear people can remember it so people can think of the song when people talk about vampires or something like that. to hear this song go here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmYGej_3zIE.

similly 2

A simile is when you compare two different things useing like or as. In the song, “LIKE A ROCK” by Bob Seger found in the song was a simile ” I  felt that strong Like a rock”.  I think feling like a rock means you are feeling bored or useless or even confused but i think it means you cant move. I think they put that in the song so if someone said i feel like a rock they would remember the song.
I piked this song because of how many simillys it has and it fits what im looking for. A good link for this song would be here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keIvA2wSPZc.

simile 1

A simile is when you compare two different things using like or as in a sentence.  In the song, ” Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Paul Simon the simile is found in the song lyrics, “like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down”. They used the simile because it made the song catchy with the lyrics and when a person would hear it, it would remind them of the song so people could know about it. I picked this song because it has a simile and has good lyrics, check out their song and album on this site: http://sglyrics.myrmid.com/bridge.htm.

Aliteration 1

An alliteration is when the writer has two or more words. The song BETTER BE A BETTER BOY  by Mick Terry  has an alliteration in the title and song example: “Better Be a Better Boy”. The song repeats the “b” sound in the words: Better, Be, Better , and Boy.  The band is using alliterations for people to think of that song when they hear those words. If I was a person hearing that song knowing the alliteration I would think of it when hearing those words. You can listen and see lyrics, watch music videos, and hear the song at this link:mickterry.com/mtlyrics.html.
